What we believe
We believe that God has revealed himself to us because God wants us to know him and his gifts in a real and personal way.
We believe that God has revealed himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as expressed in the Bible, which is God's Word to us. We believe that in Scripture God speaks of his great love for us, which is revealed in full in the person of Jesus Christ, who, being truly God, also became truly human.
We believe that God calls us to himself to rescue us from our sin, so that we may live and walk with him, both in this life and in the life to come. God calls us to join in his mission to seek and to save people. We believe that life with Christ in it is good. Jesus said 'I have come that you have life, and have it to the full'.
We seek to be a church that loves all people no matter their background, and desires to pass on God's gifts to those in need.
As part of the Lutheran Church of Australia, we have a faith that is expressed in common with other Lutheran Churches. We work with other denominations whenever the opportunity arises to the best of our ability, expressing our unity as people who believe in Jesus.
We practise Holy Baptism for people of all ages, believing that Baptism places us in relationship with Jesus Christ and makes us children of God. All baptised people are disciples of Jesus.
We celebrate Holy Communion at each of our services, giving thanks to God for all that Jesus Christ has done for us through his life, death and resurrection.
